Most of us will fly out of LAX or SAN which both have nonstop flights to Lihue (LIH). From there, you will want to rent a car, 4WD will provide the most flexibility.
If you're interested in staying with us at the 1Hotel Hanalei Bay, you can use code 'LARKINBRIDGEMAN' to receive discounted rate.
Another great option is the Hanalei Bay Resort directly next door. It has a 1/4 mile walking path which leads to the 1Hotel Beach and Ceremony site so we definitely recommend it.
For any large groups looking for an Air-Bnb, West Princeville is the best option. We would avoid Hanalei Bay since there's a single one-way bridge which can see significant traffic in the afternoons.
When exploring the South Shore, the Grand Hyatt is stellar, but honestly you can't go wrong with any of the other places all around Poipu.
Swimwear, Cover-ups, and Collared shirts are the vibe here. Don't forget a lightweight waterproof jacket for the warm Hawaiian rain. Expect rain at least once while we're on the North Shore.
For the ceremony, men should wear light-colored suiting, no ties. Women should dress up in "coastal-chic," whatever that means.
Bring your boards! In February the waves & conditions on the North Shore are hard to beat. There are some really fun reef breaks at Hanalei Bay and Tunnels, you'll want both your shortboards & logs.
Running shoes are a must if you plan to join us on any trails, it can get muddy, rocky, and at times steep. But trust us, the adventure and the experience are well worth it!
Thank you, hope you can make it!
